At the end of the day I need to charge my power chair. In the past there were times I wasn’t able to charge my chair for a couple of days and I wondered if I had enough battery power to get me home. Once I didn’t have enough power and I needed a guy to help me up the hill. It’s common sense to charge up your battery, however sometimes we neglect to.
This is one of the reasons why I enjoy lent. It’s a time where I can allow myself to catch up and recharge within the presence of God. As I reflect on Jesus’ story my soul is filled with his grace and mercy. The reminder of our holy heritage, our redemption through Christ, realigns my inner core and reaffirms my faith.
I don’t think I will ever fully understand the complexity of the crucifixion or what Jesus went through and how he died. However, as I meditate the wonderment in my mind is becoming secondary to the majestical warmth in my soul.
Thanks again, Lucy, for opening our eyes to see Abba growing us through little, everyday things.
How important it is to recharge!!! Thanks for the reminder!
